🔶 Present & God

🔶 Present & God

by Atman Nityananda

👉 The Nature of the Present

The PRESENT or the NOW is timeless and unchanging, always the same and the source of life and all phenomena, that’s why it is always fresh.

The PRESENT (the present moment) does not belong to time (which is a creation of the mind).

👉 The True Nature of the Present Moment

The timeless NOW or PRESENT is not a temporal moment, a tiny fraction of time or an event,
but the UNMOVING, UNCHANGING BASE upon which CHANGING EVENTS occur.

👉 Being & Consciousness

That is, the PRESENT (I repeat: not a time indicator, but a timeless present moment) is simultaneously BEING and CONSCIOUSNESS

– it is in fact the ETERNAL LIVING GOD.
That’s why it is always fresh, whole, and beautiful.

👉 Freedom from the Matrix

The moment one realizes that they ARE the PRESENT, they are freed from the Matrix.

> "You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free."
Jesus Christ

👉 The True Identity

The Truth is that you are not the body, the persona, the vital energy, or the mind,

but the TIMELESS PRESENT,

that is
FORMLESS, TIMELESS, IMMORTAL, 🌞 LIGHT – CONSCIOUSNESS

MOST POWERFUL WAY OF PRACTICE ~ Aan Nityananda

MOST POWERFUL WAY OF PRACTICE

There is no more powerful practice than repeating the name of God moment by moment and even more powerful to combine the repetition of God's name with Self-inquiry and afirmations of our true Self!

Relation between ourselves and God - Atman Nityananda

Relation between ourselves and God

To help your understanding of the relation between the individual Self or individual Consciousness and God, i.e., the Universal Consciousness, I will use the well-known example of the ocean and the waves. The wave is a part and an expression of the totality called the ocean. However, the essential nature of the wave and the ocean is water (H2O). Although the ocean is immense and the wave is a very small part of the ocean, both share the same nature, i.e., they are both water (H2O).

Similarly, each human being as a body-mind entity is an infinitesimal part and expression of the universe. However, its essential nature and that of the whole universe is the same, Consciousness. Consciousness concerning the whole Cosmos is called God (Brahman, Spirit, Tao, etc.) and concerning each person is called true Self (Atman, essence, Soul, etc.). That is, the universal Consciousness (God, Brahman) when expressed through man is called individual Consciousness or the true Self (Atman in Sanskrit). Moreover, Consciousness, unlike water, is formless and spaceless, that is why there is no difference in quality and quantity, i.e., there is no such thing as a big or small, superior or inferior Consciousness.

The Consciousness in us is God Himself but due to the limitations of the mind it appears as the seemingly individual Consciousness. However, when our mind is freed from all limitations we realize that we are God Himself.

The repetition of God's name will lead you to God-realization. -Sri Ramakrishna

"Japa means repeating the Name of the Lord silently, sitting in a quiet place. If one continues the repetition with concentration and devotion, one is sure to be blessed with Divine visions ultimately - one is sure to have God-realization. Suppose a big log of wood is immersed in the Ganges with one end attached to a chain, which is fixed on the bank. Following the chain, link by link, you can gradually dive into the water and trace your way to it. In the same manner, if you become absorbed in the repetition of His holy Name, you will eventually realize Him."

YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR DESTINY ~ Atman Nityananda

YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR DESTINY

The mind becomes that which contemplate upon steadily. By feeling what we contemplate upon we accelerate the process.

It is only a matter of constant practice and time.

The most important factors of our evolution are the associations and relations we keep and the impressions and thoughts we permit to enter in our mind.

If you constantly think about the defects of others you will develop these defects.

If you constantly think about the virtues of others you will develop these virtues.

So If you contemplate constantly on peace your mind will become peaceful. If you contemplate on courage you will develop courage. If you contemplate on confidence you will develop self-confidence etc..

If you constantly think of God with love you become God.

How to Realize God? – Swami Sivananda

 How to Realize God?

God is a question of supply and demand. If you really yearn for His Darshan, He will reveal Himself to you in an instant.

You need neither art nor science, neither study nor erudition for God-realization, but faith, purity and devotion.

Combine all the love you cherish towards all worldly objects — wife, children, wealth, property, relatives, and friends— and then apply this combined love towards God. You will realize in this very second.

To serve God and Mammon at the same time is impossible. You cannot enjoy the bliss of the Self and the sensual pleasure in the same cup. You cannot have light and darkness at the same time.

The Lord demands your whole heart.

Reduce yourself into zero before God. Only then, will God completely take care of and guide you. Only then, surrender becomes complete.

Forget your own interests, your own longings, your own desires. You will attain the bliss of the Supreme Self.

Crucify, sacrifice the lower self, if you wish to have union with God.

Empty your egoism. You will be filled with God. Lose your personality. You will find the Divine Life. You will realize God.
